RARE ANDREW BOWN 7” SINGLE “TAROT“ MAIN POINTS AS FOLLOWS:
POLITE NOTICE - Please do not message me with offers or asking if I will accept a lower price as I will not. The items here are priced to sell fair and reasonably and are no longer available in the shops. Snooze and you lose...while you are trying to argue over a couple of pounds discount someone else will buy! When they are gone there are no more for sale thank you.
1) Used copy of the rare Ace of Wands TV series theme tune by Andrew Bown.
2) Original UK Parlophone single in original paper logo sleeve.
3) Catalogue number R5856 released May 1970 has the code 7XCE 21449-1 stamped in the run out groove with 7XCE 21450-1 in the run out groove of the B side “Lulli Rides Again”. Sung by Andrew Bown formerly of the 60’s group The Herd.
4) Condition - I’m not a record dealer so will refrain from using either the Goldmine, RC or other grading methods and instead give you an honest assessment based on visual look and playing the record with and without headphones on.
5) The cover is intact with no rips, stains or marks. Minor creasing only consistent with age. Record labels are clean and intact with no writing. Surface of the vinyl is generally very clean with one noticeable long thin surface mark which affects approximately one third of the track surface shown in last photo (This is on zoom lens magnification). Playing the A side though speakers on a Technics deck with new Stanton cartridge, the sound is very good. No clicks or scratches though there is very faint hiss or surface noise if you listen carefully to some parts of the recording. This is more noticeable when listening through Sennheiser HD25 headphones. Sound is still good and strong but you do notice some surface hiss consistent with age - approximately 48 and a half years old.
6) The vinyl surface is nice and clean on both sides with only odd minor blemishes if tilted in the light. I’ve tried to provide good photographs to show the record as best I can and to accurately describe the condition. The B side Lulli Rides Again has had less play than the A side and as such has less deterioration. I would say this is still in very good condition.
