Description

This is a superb copy of what may well be the most influential track of the 'beat' era... 'LOUIE LOUIE' by the Kingsmen, b/w 'HAUNTED CASTLE'. It is the UK original 1st pressing on PYE INTERNATIONAL, cat# 7N.25231. The only 'flaw' with this disc (and it hardly rates the word 'flaw' really) is that the original owner has written his initials in very VERY small neat writing on the labels. You can just about see this in the scans. Other than that, it might have come from the record shop yesterday, not 50 years ago. Stunning.

Please note: the white spots you see on the disc are reflections due to the scanning process and are not present in reality. Similarly, the blue line is also due to scanning and is not actually present.

While just about every rock group from 1963 onward have cut their teeth on this song, the Kingsmen's version remains the definitive. If you haven't heard it (shame on you!) then you have areal treat coming!
