Description
After collecting for over 50 years...Its time to starting clearing out a number of my recordings. Most of these will be in the 1898 to 1910 period with a few exceptions going up into the 1930s. I've enjoyed these recordings and I hope you will too. These records will be shipped in a new box wrapped with cardboard and bubble wrap to protect them. Tracking info will be sent.......
RARE!! A recording not known to exist. A embossed 10 inch Climax Disc mid 1901.
William Tell Overture played by Hager's Band?
You can hear this recording on my youtube channel, which is "Jack Stanley"
The 10" Climax record was released later than the original embossed 7" recordings. However, in researching over the years I have found only one other 10" embossed Climax. It was the same title and number. I talked with its previous owner, who stated that they could not find another copy of their recording and its auction caused a lot of interest. As he stated it is for Climax, what the "10 inch record label" is for pre Dog Victor records of 1901. Incredibly rare.
This recording has been in my collection for quite a few years. It is on auction now and will grace another's collection as an amazing rarity as it has for me. This is a record you wont see on auction again for a long time.
It plays well for a 120 year old recording. It appears to be in better condition than the other known copy.
Being that this is a expensive recording , I will put insurance on it as I ship it. Good luck and enjoy this rarity as I have.
