Description

On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Rare Amber called 'Rare Amber' and is a 1969 UK 1st pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' Polydor label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT ONLY SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE IN 1969 AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE TODAY AND SERIOUSLY RARE!!!!  IN FACT, THIS HAS TO BE REGARDED AS ONE OF THE RAREST LPS EVER RELEASED ON THE POLYDOR LABEL!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN STUNNING CONDITION OVERALL - APART FROM 1 TINY DEFECT WHICH I WILL MENTION FURTHER BELOW.  THIS IS THE 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' POLYDOR LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FULLY LAMINATED 'E.J.DAY' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st pressing from 1969 and is in STUNNING condition overall!!!! The Cat. No is 583 046 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Polydor label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition overall - apart from 1 TINY defect I will mention below.  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!! However - there is a TINY bit of uneveness on this record ONLY affecting the VERY edge.  It causes a VERY minor and VERY low level background sound on the run on grooves & the VERY first few revolutions of the first track on either side - though this DOES NOT last long AT ALL and the rest of the LP plays FLAWLESSLY!!!!  The other thing to mention is the tracking of this TINY bit of 'uneveness' on the VERY first part of either side ONLY (rest of the LP plays PERFECTLY).   Side A plays though fine over this part and should have NO problem being tracked by ANY system in the world.  HOWEVER out of the 3 systems I tried this LP on, the first 2 or 3 revolutions of Side B only tracked on 2 out of the 3 systems.  On the more sensitive system it played through - but needed the needle to be held whilst playing the first 2 or 3 revolutions of the first track on Side B (which allowed it to play fine).  You may well ask - why am I offering this LP?  Well 99% of this LP plays PERFECTLY and holding the needle VERY gently (which makes the LP play though with PERFECT tracking) on the first 2 or 3 revolutions on ONE TRACK on ONE SIDE only seems a VERY small price to pay - for what overall has to be one of the most STUNNING playing copies of this LP left in existence!!!!  AND DONT FORGET JUST HOW RARE THIS IS!!!!  IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY LONG TIME BEFORE TO SEE ANOTHER!!!!  Naturally this record is virtually impossible to grade.  Without the bit of uneveness it would EASILY grade Excellent+ if not better!!!! But with it?  I will leave that up to the winning bidder to decide. Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press FULLY Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), only a couple of VERY small areas of laminate lifting, VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the laminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!! This cover MUST grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!!
