### Ultra-Rare German Audiophile Test Pressing / White Label Promo LP (DECCA Stereo SXL 2221 Reissue)


Up for auction is a magnificent classical masterpiece: an authentic **German Test Pressing / White Label Promo** ("Unverkäufliche Musterplatte") of the May 1996 audiophile reissue of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's colorful orchestral works (originally recorded in November 1956 at Victoria Hall, Geneva).


Ansermet's interpretations of Rimsky-Korsakov are legendary for capturing the vibrant, fairytale-like orchestration and blazing fanfares of Russian folklore. Remastered directly from the original analogue session tapes, the lacquers were cut in London by top engineer Tony Hawkins at DECCA using a Neumann VMS 80 lathe. Pressed onto premium **180g Virgin Vinyl** in Germany, the commercial edition was strictly limited to 1,000 copies per stamper. An advance *Musterplatte* test pressing like this is exceptionally rare and highly sought after by audiophiles worldwide.
