Description

Here is a nice copy of a hard to find picture sleeve 45 import by The Beach Boys: "Heroes and Villains" b/w "You're Welcome" (Capitol F-5826). Released in Denmark in 1967.

This sleeve was originally meant for the U.S. version of "Heroes and Villains" and comes with artwork used for the ill-fated SMiLE LP. The single was eventually released in the States on the Brother label (Brother 1001) and with completely different artwork. Capitol ended up using the thousands of sleeves they printed for the 5826 catalogue number in foreign markets. The Danish sleeve is the one that uses the original Capitol sleeve with no changes (minor changes are made to the Canadian issue, as well as to the Spanish issue).

Record is in EX condition. Center intact, clean labels, high gloss. The sleeve is in strong VG+ to VG++ condition. Some wrinkling and discoloration. Very minor, small tears at top. No writing and no stickers.

Thanks for looking, and please check out my other items for more rare and beautiful 45s. I specialize in rare surf, Beach Boys, and Brian Wilson related items.
