Description
NOTORIOUS 1976 SET of 8 "BEATLEBOOTS" 45s:
THE BEATLES: 8 different DECCAGONE UNPLAYED MINT COLORED VINYL 45s & PICTURE SLEEVES!
Carefully examined; 8 guaranteed mint gems.
The picture sleeves are all CLEAN M- without flaws; this set of 7 singles & one EP was painstakingly procured by a picky perfectionist. And he-e-ere they are!
1) 'Till There Was You/Twist And Shout/From Me To You/She Loves You (EP) (#1108);
2) Three Cool Cats/Hello Little Girl (#1100);
3) Sheik Of Araby/September In The Rain (#1101);
4) Memphis/Love Of The Loved (#1102);
5) Searchin'/Like Dreamers Do (#1103);
6) Sure To Fall/Money (#1104);
7) Crying, Waiting, Hoping/'Till There Was You (#1105);
8) To Know Him Is To Love Him/Besame Mucho (#1106).
At least one source mistakenly dates these recordings as 1963; in reality, the 14 songs on the 7 singles were recorded on New Year's Day 1962 (the 4 on the EP are from the famous 1963 Royal Command Performance during which John suggested the rich folks "rattle their jewelry"). The January 1, 1962 Decca audition was The Beatles' first shot at a recording contract & they screwed the pooch. Clowning around on Besame Mucho & Sheik Of Araby (the kind of shenanigans that killed 'em back at the 'Pool & in the Reeperbahn) didn't amuse London Decca's lab-coated studio stiffs. They already thought Our Heroes were 4 leather-clad goons from the sticks. The boys were politely shown the door & later informed by letter that "groups of guitars are out".
