BALLAD OF JOHN AND YOKO/OLD BROWN SHOE (Parlophone #5786 UK 1st pressing PICTURE DISC, 1989): UNPLAYED MINT GEM 45!
Parlophone issued picture discs for all 22 Beatles 45s in the UK only, but they weren't issued all at once so collectors could get a complete set. They issued each limited-pressing record on the 20th anniversary of the original single's debut, so it took over 8 years to release all 22 (1982-1990). This UNPLAYED MINT Ballad Of John And Yoko/Old Brown Shoe PICTURE DISC was, therefore, issued in 1989.
Ballad was the only recording by John & Paul alone; they didn't bother to wait for George & Ringo to show up at Abbey Road. Paul played drums & John handled guitar duties. The photo used for this disc is from their last photo session & they don't look like they're having a splendid time. Put it in The Vault!
