The BEATLES - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Item Description UK EMI Abbey Road internal single-sided test/reference pressing set
Two single-sided vinyl records, each containing one playable side of Sgt Pepepr's Lonely Hearts Club Band, with blank reverse sides. This configuration was never commercially issued and is consistent with EMI internal testing or reference use.

HTM denotes mastering by Harry T. Moss at Abbey Road. LPFB2 is an EMI internal metalwork control code.
Security / Identification Sticker Original warning sticker stating "Item has been invisibly marked for identification" with the name and address : Rapaport, 24 Sandmoor Drive, Leeds (the original owner has sadly passed away and no family member now lives at this address)
Provenance Summary Pressed by EMI using official Abbey Road metalwork for internal testing or reference purposes.  Later retained in private ownership by the Rapaport family of Leeds, as indicated by the identifcation sticker on side 1 of each disk.
Rarity Statement Paired single-sided EMI pressings of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band are extremely rare and were not intended for public sale.
Declaration All of the above records the known physical, technical, and provenance details based on inspection of the discs and associated materials.
Each disc in immaculate condition. There are just a few small and very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on the blank side of each diss indicating 2 or 3 plays. I have played one track from each disk and the sound quality is (as you would expect) superlative.
The original gatefold sleeve is excellent plus. Just a very minor "dink" at each of the bottom corners and a couple of insignificant handling/storage marks.
The Peter Blake cut-out is in mint unused condition.

This item is so rare, almost unique (just one other copy known to exist is my understanding), and gives the winning bidder the opportunity of owning a wonderful piece of Beatles rock and pop history. Whatever this is worth today I am sure that it's value will only continue to increase.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
