Description
Here is a copy of a single by Beverly Mae Wilson & Mapes Sisters, "Till I Met You" b/w Beverly Mae Wilson & Blue Flames, "Lonesome Girl" (Impact 11-1M). Released in 1963.
Here's a little info on Beverly Mae Wilson, taken from the website Hillbilly-Music: "On June 6, 1959, she appeared to be taking a break from doing appearances with Smokey Rogers' troupe and was to headline at the Melody Inn in Fullerton, California. Then on July 3, her management company, Robert A. Sherwood Enterprises, had her leaving on a summer tour of the Pacific Northwest. In 1960, a magazine article called her the 'Teenage Rage.' Her manager was Bob Sherwood of Sherwood Enterprises. In early 1963, she joined forces with Dale Carter and His Country Swing Band to do a live radio show over KASE radio out of Riverside, California every Saturday afternoon. She was recording for the Impact label at the time."
It's an unusual label for the country/folk artist, as the California-based Impact Records featured surf records by bands like The Revels, The Breakers, the Alley Kats, and Dave Myers and His Surf-Tones, with songs written and produced by surf music legend Robert Hafner.
Record is in VG+ condition. Labels show a bit of wear. Vinyl has nice gloss, with just some light paper scuffs. Autograph on the A side, which reads (if I'm not mistaken) "To Alice, musically yours, Beverly Mae Wilson."
