Progressive rock band. Formed in London, England in late 1969.

Line-up:
1969
Graham Field - Organ
Dave Kaffinetti - Electric piano
Steve Gould - Bass guitar and vocals
Mark Ashton - Drums

Rare Bird are perhaps best remembered for having the distinction of being the first act to be released on Tony Stratton Smith's gloriously eclectic label Charisma records (also the home of Genesis, The Nice and Van Der Graaf Generator to name a few). Like fellow future Charisma stable mates Van Der Graaf Generator, Rare Bird was formed around the principle of keyboard dominated Progressive Rock which eschewed the use of guitars. In December 1969, this eponymous debut album was released to great critical acclaim, (also becoming a US Billboard chart hit) and was followed in January 1970 by the release of "Sympathy" b/w "Devil's High Concern". The single reached the UK Top 30 and was a subsequent major hit throughout Europe.

i try to be as honest as i can about the record condition

being an avid record enthusiast, i really enjoy sharing some of my collection

if you feel any items you receive are not  as described, please let me know.

i also try to answer all ebay messages, so feel free to drop me a line thru ebay with any questions or comments.

A NOTE ABOUT MEDIA MAIL:

i offer media mail as a low cost alternative to priority mail.

it's 4th class mail & your delivery may vary .

USPS mail volume could be light & you may have a timely delivery.

the down side is media mail can be really slow at high volume times &

you could find yourself waiting 2 to 3 weeks. (maybe more!!!)

priority mail is the way to go!!!
