Description

Muddy Waters

Your Gonna Need My Help "I Said" / Sad Letter Blues

Chess 1434

Record grades at E-/V+. An outstanding copy that sounds terrific. Just about all of the original gloss is still there and both labels are almost perfect and super-clean. Please note: the slightly darker patch on the right side of the white part of the label is a shadow and not on the actual record. The white areas on both sides of the Chess label are pure white as they were when they were first pressed.

Muddy's second release on the Chess label and recorded in Chicago in August 1950 with Little Walter on harmonica (his debut for Chess) and Big Crawford on bass. Primal slide guitar and vocals from the master.

All 78s will be expertly packed to arrive safely. Choice of $4 media mail or $8 priority.

Check out my other auctions for more rare blues and soul 78s and LPs.

Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking and good luck!
