Description

This is an original vinyl pressing of blues pioneer Tommy Johnson (1928-1930) - 'The complete recordings in chronological order'   On Wolf records ref WSE 104 Matrices WSE - 104 A // WSE - 104 B   Mono   Difficult to date this,I think late 70s ish judging by the feel of the vinyl but its not dated   This material is so rare that there are only 1 or 2 known original 78 copies of some of the tracks.Predates the much more famous Robert Johnson by a decade or so.   Record is Nr Mint - theres a little wear to the side 2 label but not from playing Sleeve is an EX, a few hairline creases an some very slight discolouring -spine is nicely readable with a couple of light creases   Tracks are as follows:   Side 1 Cool drink of water blues Big Road Blues Bye Bye Blues Maggie Campbell Blues Canned Heat Blues Lonesome Home Blues   1st four tracks on this side feature Charlie McCoy on 2nd guitar   Side 2 Lonesome Home Blues (TJ also plays kazoo) Big Fat Mama Blues I wonder to myself Slidin Delta Lonesome Home Blues (2nd guitar by Ishman Bracey)   ...apparantly 2 titles remain undiscovered....or were at the time this was pressed anyway :)   ....some interesting reading for you ;)   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Johnson_(musician)   Postage quoted is based on UK Recorded Delivery   Please ask for overseas postage before bidding as there are some countries I don't post to
