Description
This is a Brunswick record album #BL 54038 called "The Chirping Crickets" by Buddy Holly and the Crickets. This is the 1957 first pressing with the textured cover. Songs on the album are "Oh, Boy", "Not Fade Away", "You've Got Love", "Maybe Baby", "It's Too Late", "Tell Me How", "That'll Be The Day", "I'm Looking For Love", "An Empty Cup (And A Broken Date)", "Send Me Some Lovin'", "Last Night" and "Rock Me My Baby". Now before getting too excited about this rare album here is the bad news. The record has many scuffs and scratches and there is static on the last two songs on side one and the other side has static on a lot of the quieter songs and between songs. I don't know if a good cleaning would make it play better or the static is the result of the scratches. The cover is totally split on the bottom seam and there is a 4" split seam on the top right. The second picture shows the left side edge where there is a 2 1/2" split seam on the bottom and a 3" split toward the top. The cover displays better than the condition but I want to make sure everyone understands the problems so there are no problems later. Winning bidder pays $3.00 shipping by media mail with delivery confirmation (in U.S.). Also in the 1st & 2nd photo that is glare on the record from the camera flash. If you want a VG+ album this is not the LP for you but if you are looking to fill that empty spot in your collection until a better album comes up this may not be a bad choice.
