AMAZINGLY RARE DJ PROMO FOR SALE.
Blancmange Living On The Ceiling (Censored 'Cuckoo' Version)
DJ Promo. As used by radio DJ's back in the day when vinyl was used to play music on the radio airwaves. This version was also used for the playback of the band's performance on Top Of The Pops in 1982. The words 'Bloody Tree' are replaced by 'Cuckoo Tree' on this record. Watch the TOTP perfomance on youtube. There is also a short audio clip of another copy of this record with writing in labels on youtube.
Search it out to have a look. This is NOT the copy on youtube, this one has clean labels.
VERY RARE 7" DJ PROMO. Hardly ever comes up for sale. Especially in this hardly played condition.
This 'Cuckoo' version was played by Ken Bruce on his radio 2 show in between Pop Master rounds at 10.35am on 18th march 2021. Radio 2 often play this version but it is not commercially available anywhere else (as far as I know) apart from on this 7" Vinyl DJ Promo you are looking at here.
Side A: Living On The Ceiling (Cuckoo Version) Side B: Running Thin.
London Records BLADJ 3 (original cat no was BLANC 3) Side B has crossed out matrix of the original cat no. BLANC 3 in the runout groove. Plain white sleeve. Records labels are clean without writing. Unusual for DJ Promo's as DJ's usually write on the records labels regarding fade out times etc of the track. No such writing on this copy. Nice and clean labels.
Very RARE DJ Promo pressing of this single. Condition is as described below.
Both sides of record are in Very Good Condition. Some hairline marks visually but looks very good to the naked eye. Hard to say how many but it does not look like it has been played many times. These have sold on Discogs for £30 but they had writing on the labels, this does not. Fair start price for a very rare record.
eBay best offer option available on this item. Only offers above start price (not same as) will be considered. If you offer is auto declined it is because it is too low!
Amazingly RARE Item.
