Nobody in the ‘50s quite sounded like Buddy Morrow and his orchestra. Buddy’s trombone was the centerpiece, of a big band sound that often lent a touch of R&B to older standards, as you will hear here.
Great selections are NIGHT TRAIN, ONE MINT JULEP, RIB JOINT, PINK LADY, HEY MRS. JONES, MANGOS, and WITH THE WIND AND THE RAIN IN YOUR HAIR, among others.
Original laminated cover is without major fault; Mercury platter inside is near mint.
A rarity well worth a listen.
