Description
THE MEDLOWS "Love (Pt. 1)" stereo b/w "Love (Pt. 1)" mono; 1976 disco 45, promo edition (there was no stock edition or "Pt. 2" as far as I can tell.
This is a scarce disco banger from 1976 on Midland International. Condition is G+ (based on Discogs' grading recommendations: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.") This copy has many visible scuffs and plays with some snap, crackle and pop but no skips and, to my ears anyway, is very listenable. The mono side plays better than the stereo side. Both sides improve as they go, the worst of the noise is near the beginning in each case. There is a slight warp not affecting play. Generic sleeve.
You can see and hear this copy on YouTube; search "medlows dougpaulod 12.10.23" and you should find a 6:38 video of the record being played (apologies but I don't think I can include the direct video link in this auction). In the video, the mono side is played first, then the stereo flip. I reckon you could get away with DJing this copy if the dancefloor isn't too fussy about condition.
