Here we have The (Detroit) Spinners on a stupendously RARE and desirable UK 1961 7" single, on Columbia DB 4693.
The name of the group must've caused a few head-scratching moments for 1961 UK record fans, as many of them were probably expecting those Merseyside Folk persons with tin whistles and guitars.
Of course, THESE fine fellows are what is referred to (in the UK) as "The Detroit Spinners" to avoid confusion and bewilderment in the Liverpool folk clubs. But of course you already knew that.
This is a US recording, originally made for Tri-Phi Records and is a lot more doo-woppy and rock-n-rolly than the Detroit Spinners later Motown recordings.
This is a lovely, great sounding, original disc with one tiny sleeve mark which can't be heard. It is as rare as a polite child, a cat showing any sign of remorse, or anything intellectual on BBC 3 TV.
The actual vinyl is probably a good solid VG++ or thereabouts.
Unfortunately, there is some writing on the label. It is quite faint, and could probably be made even more faint, if you were to spend half an hour on it with some lighter-fuel and a cotton bud. The writing, done by a bear of little brain, informs us that the record is an "LP" (eh?) and plays at "75 rpm" (huh?) or even "75rmp" (yu wha?). It's quite hard to see and could be just-about-disappeared, after some delicate cleaning.
It's still a trouserburstingly rare and valuable record.
To be scrupulously fair to you, I've set the auction starting price fairly low. Fill your boots, and help the badgers (etc) at "Secret World".

I'm selling most of this stuff for much less
than I paid for it.
