Description
This is a remarkably nice investment grade copy of the 1957 E.P. 'GOOD ROCKIN' TONIGHT by the King himself, ELVIS PRESLEY. It is of course an original 1st pressing (Matrix = 1N) on the Green/Silver HMV label, cat# 7EG- 8256. This record is 53 years old, but to see and hear it you might think it no more than a couple of years old at most. The sleeve is, as you can see from the pics below, in exemplary NEAR MINT condition, with a minor 'bash' to the to left corner and a little laminate crinkling to the bottom right being the only real flaws. The labels are sharp and unblemished, the silver text is bright and clear. There is one spindle-mark on side one, none that I can see on side two. As to the vinyl itself, there are a few surface 'paper' marks. There is a little (but only a little) crackle on the run-in groove on side two. There are two 'ticks' on side two, track one and a couple on the run-out groove. To grade each side seperately, Side one is just about Mint, side two is Near Mint. Both sides have full-on vinyl sheen. Please study the pics below. As to the material, this is Elvis at the height of his powers - and that's really something!
SIDE ONE: BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY; GOOD ROCKIN' TONIGHT
SIDE TWO: MILK COW BLUES; JUST BECAUSE
