Ok, so Elvis started recording tracks for RCA VICTOR in February of 1956 and in the weeks leading up to his first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show(Sept. 9th, 1956), TV Guide did an interview with him, RCA VICTOR pressed a promotional record for DJ's to play to their audiences leading up to the big TV appearance. This "promo" record consisted of 4 excerpts from an interview conducted by TV GUIDE for the September 8-14, 1956 (coinciding with his appearance on Sullivan's show). This rare promotional 45 was sent out only to radio station disc jockeys in the weeks prior as an "on air" teaser for the public. 

This is one of the rarest Elvis artifacts you can find. But here's the thing, I've seen 3 of these come through eBay in the past two years, that's all. And none had any of the original inserts. UNTIL NOW.

This particular auction includes 1 Gray insert(click below to view), and 2 Pink Inserts(click below to view) all in fantastic condition. Osborne's Guide Values each insert at $250-300 a piece plus another $1000-1500 for the record....UNBELIEVABLE! YOU GET IT ALL.

I am also including the original envelope (click below to view) that this set was mailed in from WGN radio in Chicago,Illinois to WKMI in Kalamazoo, Michigan, back in the day.

CONDITION: I will never claim an item of this caliber is mint, it's just asking for a debate. I will say I am most certain it has never been played, the vinyl is gorgeous and has 100% of it's original gloss and only has a few very very light lines from taking it in and out of the sleeve a few times during it's nearly 50 year life. This 45 was issued without any special sleeve.

I've had a lot of questions on this, so here is a review of the info. THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL EP not a single. The record # is RCA VICTOR G8-MW-8075. THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE STAMPED, NOT HAND WRITTEN and read G8M W8075 at about 4 O'clock on the record itself. The grooves are locked. The label is light blue.

Some people are mistaking the G8 for GB, this is not the case. The GB prefix was for "GOLD STANDARD" commercial issues and GB has nothing to do with this promo which is once again, G8-MW-8075. I have consulted both the Osborne and Goldmine Guides. You can find them under the EP section of Elvis Presley records. Osborne's 17th Edition, page 472. Goldmine Price Guide to 45RPM Records, 4th Edition, page 486.

I have in the last few days received several offers ranging from $2000-2400 to sell this 45 and inserts and end the auction early. Thank  you for your generous offers, but it would be unfair of me to end the auction early, even with the kind of money being offered, I will wait, if you want to win the item, meet my reserve price and outbid everyone else.
