Description

This is an original 1st UK vinyl pressing of the classic 1969 Fleetwood Mac (Mark I) album - Then Play On
On the Reprise label ref RSLP 9000 Matrices are A1/B1 - ABSOLUTE 1st pressing
Peter Green may have been about to lose the plot personally when this came out but his style and taste have never been more prominent....the part where he switches pickups on Coming your way still sends shivers down my spine....that must be the '59 les paul eh? ;)
The Record: This is beautiful thick heavy vinyl on the original, earlier yellow and blue steamboat label. Easily an EX  there are a few light surface marks but this is a beautiful example. Retained its sheen nicely. Labels are clean and free from writing with just a little spindle wear when turned to the light
Inner sleeve is plain white
Outer gatefold is the original gatefold with naked man on a horse artwork, this would later change to plain black with white writing. This is a solid VG+ - a little very light ringwear and some very short hairline creases near the spines on the front and back. Spine is angled and has wear to the edges of it ...so spine is quite wide but where it meets the front and back sleeve has the wear. Bottom and top spines have normal shelf wear.  Inner gatefold does have a crease which the pictures should pick up - just to Peter Greens left
Very nice copy of a great and massively overlooked album which kind of documents Peters decline in mental health at the time ..... but what a piece of music!!
tracks are as follows:
Coming Your Way Closing My Eyes Fighting for Madge When You Say Show Biz Blues Under Way One Sunny Day
Although the sun is shining Rattlesnake Shake Without You Searching for Madge My Dream Like Crying Before the Beginning

PLEASE NOTE - Postage is based on UK Recorded Delivery PLEASE ASK for overseas postage before bidding as there are some countries I will not post to
I use the Record Collector Grading Criteria which is as follows:   Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint.   Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.   Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.   Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
