RARE

THE ROLLING STONES - "FLOWERS"

1967 LP - RED DECCA LABEL CATALOGUE NO. LK 4888

 

I purchased this very rare and collectable LP myself in Majorca during the late 60's.  It is rare early pressing version on the unusual red Decca label. 

The laminated sleeve is in near mint condition, showing minimal signs of wear, just a few very, very, minor creases. It has the Decca record label logo in the top right hand corner, and does not have the words "The Rolling Stones" at the top of the sleeve which the UK 'London' release did have.

The record itself (Matrix Nos. ARL-7753 and ARL 7752), as previously mentioned, I have owned from new and is in near mint condition and still plays very clearly with no noticeable deterioriation in sound quality. The manufacturers labelling is in Spanish which indicates that this is not a UK pressing.  However the sleeve is completely in English.

 Please do not confuse this LP with the much more common UK "London" label release, and similarly do not confuse with the even rarer unboxed export copy.

 

Whilst not being as rare as the 'export' unboxed copy, it is not as common as the "London" pressing and is therefore VERY collectable.
