Description

Just astonishing copy of an early LP release on the great Topic label, cat. no. 12001, a very FIRST PRESSING (1/2 matrices) of 'Songs Against The Bomb', and in FANTASTIC CONDITION! The LP features folk greats Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger, as well as (Ramblin') Jack Elliott, Leon Rosselson, Ron Fielder, Fred Dallas, the London Youth Choir and others. All produced by the great Bill Leader.

Thin card sleeve has worn AMAZINGLY well for its age! There is a little age browning around the edges and a very, very small, split at the bottom opening edge (1cm), a few opening edge creases and a little storage marking on the back. Flipbacks are in FABULOUS condition, completely intact and firmly in place. Cat. no. and Topic address are hand-stamped on the back! All in all, this sleeve must certainly grade EX!! (UK Record Collector guide to this grade states 'cover might have slight wear and/or creasing').

There is a loose-leaf 8-page hand-typed and copied b/w insert with essay, lyrics and credits and this is in superb MINT MINUS condition, looks barely read!!!

The first press heavyweight 180 gram vinyl is in EXTRAORDINARY condition, extremely clean, plays beautifully; a few very, very light hairlines on side 1, track 3 and a couple of very minor finger marks on both sides, but these do not affect super audio! This is probably going to be the best copy of this LP you will see, and easily grades EX+.

Recorded UK P&P £3.25, Europe £5.25, rest of world £9.00. Insurance, if necessary, extra at buyer's cost.
