Description

George Gershwin's 1924 Musical Comedy 'Primrose' was written for production in England and has never been presented in full in the USA, making it the rarest of Gershwin shows for afficianados. Here, the show's female star, Heather Thatcher, sings the lovely song 'Boy Wanted', whilst on the reverse the two male comedian leads, Leslie Henson and Claude Hulbert duet on 'Mary Queen of Scots' - surely the first song to mention Birth control! Both sides are accompanied by the Winter Garden Theatre Orchestra conducted by John Ansell and they are issued on 12" English Columbia 9002. Never issued in the USA. As a bonus, side One is Autographed by Heather Thatcher! CONDITION:
