We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +21,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. - QUITE SCARCE very limited 2nd press from 25+ years ago = about as seldom seen as the first issue!
- NOSFERATU was one of the earliest Krautock bands founded in 1968 along with other pioneers such as Can, Xhol Caravan and Amon Duul I. While the others would go on to define the entire Krautrock scene with their creative experiments, NOSFERATU has been largely been buried and/or unknown and is amongst one of the most obscure bands from this era perhaps due to the fact that only album was still too steeped in with a British sound that preceded their 1968 uprisings.
- NOSFERATU's brief three year existence found their only LP released on the 1870 Vogue label in a very limited pressing - the 2nd press seems just as seldom seen!
- NOSFERATU were Michael Thierfelder (lead vocalist), Christian Felke (flute,winds), Michael Kessler (bass), Reinhard "Tammy" Grohè (organ), Michael Meixner (lead guitar) and Byally Braumann (drums) ...sounding in parts to a rough version of the better known "OUT OF FOCUS" ...Due to neglect of the NOSFERATU by their label, they were forced to move on fairly quickly with only a very-rare album to prove they ever existed.
- The album remains highly sought after with Vogue copies valued at huge $$$ sums unlike but similar to the history of ELIAS HULK, though far more rare!
Despite being classified as Krautrock, NOSFERATU gives few hints of its German heritage. The lyrics are completely sung in English and the vocalist sounds very much from one of the classic British heavies, Warhorse etc. - NOSFERATU clearly were entrenched in the realms of progressive rock at this point - more focused on
- off-kilter time signatures and deviations from the norms expected by the Krautrock practices engaging with a few touches of lysergic trippiness.
NOSFERATU very much emerged in the spirit of the hippie communes that were all the rage in West Germany around this time and in fact once the band folded, Christian Felke continued on to play with the band Epsilon, who made 3 collectible prog albums in the early 70's. For many the only NOSFERATU release may be of historical importance yet overall it's also a very decent period piece and without a doubt an interesting curiosity that is worthy of its place in the early annals of Krautrock glories.
