Offered here is a very rare limited edition two volume set (38 LPs) of the complete monaural recordings (1949 -1960) of Herbert von Karajan and the Philharmonia Orchestra on Toshiba EMI. Catalog Nos. EAC 37001-19 and EAC 37020-38. These sets have sat on my shelves unplayed since I bought them in the early 1980’s. The boxes are in excellent ++ condition (rather than NM) because of several small dents along the bottom raised edges and some slightly bent corners that occurred during a move. The reason for this is that the boxes are designed so that the front and back covers of each volume extend about .125 in (3.2mm) beyond the boundaries of the box on the top, bottom and right side. Otherwise all is in NM condition including the paper jackets, inner sleeves and the LPs. The boxes have been stored on shelves in large polyvinyl bags to keep them dust free. The obi strip on vol. 1 has a small (.5 in/13mm) clean tear on the back. This 2 volume set, when packed for shipping will weigh from 22 to 25 Lbs (10 to 11.3Kg) . Overseas Parcel post rates will be expensive and range from $50. US for economy shipping (4-6 weeks) to approximately $125 US for Air parcel post. In addition insurance will be required.
