Description

DP 415 ,3 song acetate/dubplate, Hub-Town (may not be same company as current company calling itself Hubtown Records)  One-of-a-kind early Compton hip hop.  References to Compton in the lyrics disavowed me of notion that the 415 in the group name referred to Northern California area code.  This is a 3 song e.p. original acetate or lacquer master (not sure which, but there is an aluminum plate between two sides of the vinyl)  of a record I've never seen anywhere, and two of the songs I can't find online in any form. I believe track one on this ep appears as "Kris Kringle is a Black Man" by M.C.M on a different 12".   Since that song came out in 1990, I'm guessing this might be a year earlier due to two additional tracks on the record that don't seem to have been released elsewhere. This seems to be some of the same guys as M.C.M., but here they refer to themselves as "DP 415" and "DP Crew".  Sample-heavy late 80's style beats and rapper "J" may be the same "J" as in group M.C.M.   The title listed on track 1 on the white label is "Mr. Kringle is a Black Man" as opposed to "Kris Kringle is a Black Man", but in the song itself the chorus is "Kris Kringle is a Black Man."  These guys are talented, excellent flow and beats.

See condition description for detailed condition of the record.  While there is some noise in places, it does play through without skips on my Acoustic Control HT-920Q turntable.
