ALBUM DESCRIPTION: This is a rare 1967 stereo vinyl LP release by Booker T. & The MG's entitled "In The Christmas Spirit " Stax S713. This album version has the "Santa Claus" cover and lists in the Goldmine American Records 1950-1975 at $200 if in Near Mint condition (see condition of this listed record below). The album features twelve (12) instrumental tracks of popular Christmas songs (see photo of back cover) in the unique style of this legendary group that hailed from Memphis, Tennessee.
VINYL CONDITION: The shiny vinyl shows only minimal past handling and play. Some spindle markings are noted arround the center hole. We have fully test played the vinyl with excellent payback (no surface noise noted) and rate it's overall condition as Excellent Plus (EX+). It comes with the original generic inner sleeve.
JACKET CONDITION: The outer jacket is still in the original tight shrink wrap. The jacket does have a barely noticeable notch at the upper left corner indicative of it being a close-out back in the late 60s. The front cover still has the original discount price sticker "Christmas Special $1.00" affixed to the shrink wrap. The back cover is super clean being protected by the shrink wrap the last 51 years. There is a small softening of the lower right corner edge where shrink wrap did not extend to the opened edge. No seam splits and the spine edge is fully legible without issue. We rate the condition of the outer jacket as Excellent Plus (EX+). A new ploy slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this 51 year-old gem for may years to come.
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
