RARE JULIE ANDREWS & KAYE BALLARD HAND-SIGNED “CINDERELLA” TV SOUNDTRACK LP (G+)!
In 1957, Rodgers and Hammerstein scored a giant ratings hit on CBS with their original musical, “Cinderella,” starring Broadway’s “Fair Lady,” Julie Andrews in the title role and Kaye Ballard and Alice Ghostley as her hilariously inept step-sisters. Here we have the original TV soundtrack LP in Good Plus (G+) condition with the original Columbia Records sleeve. Album cover shows some age wear on corners and edges. This is clearly a much played (and we’re told much treasured) album, but that consideration aside, is the fact that the cover of the album has been personally autographed by Julie Andrews and Kaye Ballard! Andrews signed the LP in black Sharpie at an American Cinematheque screening at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, Calif. where a tribute screening was held for her first husband, Tony Walton. The late Ballard signed the album in Palm Desert, Calif. several years ago at a screening of a documentary about Sophie Tucker, the great vaudevillian.
