Jeremiah Johnson TEST PRESSING Warner Brothers/Columbia Record Productions, 1976 INSANELY RARE
Test pressing's are exactly what they sound like. They are made as a test by the record label to ensure quality before they press 1000's of albums. They are always more RARE, and hard to find than the retail item they are the prototype for. This being a smaller run album as is, I would guess there are no more than 100 of these test pressings floating around in the world. Test pressing's are pressed on a more pure vinyl than commercial albums as well, and have increased sound quality. The Jeremiah Johnson soundtrack is highly collectible as is, and these Test Pressings never come around.
This album would go on to be manufactured by Warner Brothers as the facts sheet taped to the sleeve would indicate. The LP itself has a Columbia label on it, as WB probably used their pressing plant to do the test run. All the major's were in kahoots back in the day, which is why you see labels borrowing fonts and all softs of stuff like this. This is a truly RARE find, and will be a fantastic addition to any serious collector's collection.

Vinyl: LP is (NM) clean labels, original gloss, heavy black color, just what you wanna see
Jacket: (VG+) sturdy thick stock record label style sleeve with taped on facts sheet. some general sings of age lower grade. (see pics with zoom)
