PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! MINTY CLEAN VINYL!

THE ULTIMATE SPINACH  ... here's thee Original 1969 first pressing ... the third (3rd) and last Lp is also their hardest to find, by far...almost all copies have a lot of shelf wear, the cover did not wear well...this is one is a collection worthy copy with mint clean vinyl...don't miss - think twice!!!

Leading this Ultimate Spinach crew is original singer Barbara Hudson and members from another East Coast pysch band, Chameleon Church. (A group that had included future actor/comedian, Chevy Chase, in its ranks .) Playing lead guitar on "U.S. III" was a cat who would go on to great success. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter was a young session guitarist extraordinaire, who eventually slung his axe as a member of both Steely Dan ...Granted, Ultimate Spinach "3" is a totally different sound... Gone are the alien lyrics, extended sitar solos and psychedelic ambient spaciness, but in its place is some pretty good blues-rock of the sort that was taking over America. There's only so much Psychedelia you can ask people to take.

So what we have here is a tragically under-rated album. Sure, some of these songs, namely "Some Days You Just Can't Win", are psychedelic cocktails with no actual structure of their own, but "Reasons" and "Happiness, Child" are excellent songs. On more than one occasion, some listeners have stated they found this album to be similar to Love's Forever Changes, particularly the creative arrangement on "Strange Life Tragicomedy" and the rhythm of "Back Door Blues". One of the most glaring problems it has is that the lead guitar is too quiet on multiple tracks, including "Back Door Blues" and "Eddie's Rush". Also, the opening cover of "Romeo and Juliet" is very respectable.

Album highlights include the heavy “Strange-Life Tragicomedy” with three- part male vocal harmonies toward the end. and The album closer guitar-driven “The World has Just Begun”.

1.Just Like Romeo and Juliet (2:33)
2.Some Days You Just Can't Win (3:22)
3.Daisy (2:21)
4.Reasons (3:51)
5.Eddie's Rush (6:52)
6.Happiness, Child (4:42)
7.Strange-Life Tragicomedy (4:13)
8.Back Door Blues (2:56)
9.World Has Just Begun (3:19)

CONDITION: The cover is solid and one cover that always has shelf wear (it wasn't built to last) however, here, one of the best found, near VG++   the back cover is nearly impossible to find without wear ... here a collection worthy copy clean as well ...no seam splits, no bends, no writing. = Finding a better copy will be hard !

The vinyl is all glossy clean, beautiful M- looks very shiny clear on both sides -- the MGM labels are both clean too... expect to play TOP level.
