Laurent Petitgirard - 197? - Alberti 140 500 - France.
One of the most finest modern jazz record from France, this conceptual album was initiate by young pianist/composer/arranger named Laurent Petitgirard for rare french independant label "Alberti". Laurent is accompanied by one of the best studio musicians of the moment offer an avant garde, spiritual & soulfull journey; mixed with pop music & hard bop feat electric piano, chirurgical break drums by Lubat, flùte & sax by T.Lasry. All tracks are good i think it's necessary to told that ! Focus on my prefered called "Le manège ensorcelé" similar to John Coltrane work. Few copy on the web don't miss it !
Personnel: Bernard Lubat (drums), Teddy Lasry (flute, sax), Philippe Cherond (Violoncelle), Herbert Blumenzweig (contrebasse).
Tracklisting: A la recherche du temps perdu - Comment chanter une chanson d'amor avec une cornemuse - Le manège ensorcelé - Dear mister Georges - suite épique pour piano relanceur.
