 Super rare 10" LP is in decent used condition.  The cover is complete.  No date but probably 1950s - maybe 60s.  Opens on the top.  It is split along most the left side - about three inches in the middle still intact.  Split a little over half way on the bottom too.  Right side solid intact edge - no splitting on the right side.  Front has a great glossy color photo probably glued to the cover.  The red portion at the bottom appears to be separate and probably glued on after the photo was attached. Photo is getting separate at the top corners but not much.  The back has great information but a lot of dark spots/stains - see pics - and a few ink marks. It too was apparently glued on and the top left is a little loose.  The LP itself only plays on one side with the five selections noted on the silver foil like label.  The label came loose from the LP - see pics for the white label side with yellowing marks for the play side.  The flip side is plain (no grooves) with no selections - has a  white label.  Again this LP only plays on one side.  The label is complete with some wear but not bad.  Can easily be re-glued if desired (same with the cover corner areas coming loose).  Last picture has the loose label sitting on top the LP.  The side that plays has no major problems - ie. no cracks, deep marks etc.  It has a few light scratches - small  - most that cannot be felt.  Hard to see them on the gold vinyl but one or two can be felt a little and may cause negligible surface noise when played.  Again no major problems.  Probably grades as a low end Exc (G/VG/Exc/NM scale) - a VG+ for sure and is sold as a VG+ on the grading scale provided.   Plays fine except at the beginning may be a little light in sound and takes a second or two to fully kick in.  An occasional "miss" may occur but no skipping was noted.  Not an expert at all and only have a very old player where it played OK.  Some surface noise and a slow start as noted. Overall not a high quality sound - perhaps due to the manufacturing/pressing or just due to age and quality of the recording equipment used.  However it plays fairy good for the most part - parts of it pretty good.  The music is amazing and quite "addictive".  There are the five selections on the label.  Found no information on the LP however it provides a lot of text on the back.  Looks like a private press but again not an expert.  By the Reynolds on Reynolds Beach. Seems like they got together for the recording at a small gathering.  The name written in ink on the front cover bottom is also listed last of the names typed on the back cover label - Kuper.  This may have been pressed only for those listed or perhaps a few more but that's a guess.  Probably extremely rare and a great bit of Jamaican Mento history.  Sold "as is".  Normally will accept returns and will do so for this item however please note only if it is substantially different than described or if you have major problems with it playing - should be fine however.  So please review carefully and feel free to ask questions.  Overseas shipping will be by registered mail only (around $22.00 to $25.00 total) with final auction price listed as the value on the customs form.  US shipping media, first class, or priority if desired however insurance for final auction value required.  Thanks for looking.
