Description
One owner since new (my cousin, on whose behalf I am selling this one), 'With The Beatles' stereo LP on Parlophone PCS 3045, with the Jobete Mus. NCB credit for 'Money' on the label, and the 'Gotta' misprint for 'You've Really Got A Hold On Me' on the sleeve and label.
The matrix numbers are YEX 110-2/111-2, with 1R/3G0 stampers.
Sleeve has seen some handling, with creases and age browning, as pictured. No splits or significant damage, though, and it grades VG-.
Vinyl plays really strongly, and there are very few significant marks on the surface. Side one has a long, light skating line across bands 1 to 3, but only the occasional light click, an obvious line on band 6 which appears to have no adverse effect on audio, and a couple of much lighter hairlines, again with no effect on audio.
Side two has about 13 light lines of varying length but, again, these have very little or no effect on superb audio. There is the occasional light click, and a little occasional surface noise, but the quality of these early Parlophone pressings are really remarkable in that they are very forgiving of very light marks and play through brilliantly well.
So, overall, an extremely nice playing copy of a rare stereo Beatles original LP with, admittedly, not a perfect sleeve, but priced to reflect this.
