Description

        Micahel Hurley (Warner Bros. WS 1915 / Racoon 6 [Promo copy]) Armchair Boogie
      This is a rare one. Michael Hurley's 1971 debut record for the Youngbloods' Raccoon Records, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Included amongst the great material here are early versions of a couple of songs that Hurley would rework and re-record later on as well. It's very much a homemade project with members of the Youngbloods and the Holy Modal Rounders and other friends kicking and helping out. Produced by Jesse Colin Young, who also plays bass and guitar. The songs, and production value here pretty much set the standard for Hurley's repertoire, style and recordings for the next five decades, and hold up well. As a bonus, the record includes an insert with an original Hurley comic, "Boone & Jocko in the Barren, Choking Land.              Vinyl is in NM condition.
