RECORDED LIVE IN OSAKA JAPAN FEB. 1975 THE CONDITION OF THESE 2 MEGA RARE METAL, LAQUER ACETATES IS VG+ , WITH SOME LIGHT SLEEVE MARKS AND LIGHT PLAY MARKS,THE ITEM IS SUPER SHINY WITH LOTS OF LIFE & PLAY LEFT IN THESE 2 LPS. THEY ARE CONTAINED IN PLASTIC LINED WHITE PAPER INNER SLEEVES, AND EACH HAS A PLAIN WHITE 12" LP COVER. THERE IS NO ARTWORK AND NO PAPERWORK. WHITE LABELS WITH GREEN "WHITFIELD STREET" RECORDING STUDIOS LOGO'S. THE LP TITLE IS TYPED IN BLACK. THE LABELS ARE A STRONG VG++. SIDES A,B,C,D. 33 RPM. An acetate disc (also known as a test acetate, dub plate, lacquer, or transcription disc) is a type of gramophone record, mechanical sound storage medium, used from the 1930s to the late 1950s for recording and broadcast. Acetates are typically produced from a master tape recording. By electroplating the acetate master, stampers (special moulds) can be created, which in turn are used to press large quantities of records. Acetates are also used for testing the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. A typical acetate disc is an aluminum disc, 10 or 12 inches in diameter, that is covered with a thin coating of nitrocellulose lacquer in which the sound groove is cut. Discs of this type can be played on any normal phonograph, but wear out very quickly. Some acetates are highly prized for their rarity.
