RELEASED 1963
This was Martha & The Vandellas’ second release both in the US and the U.K. It was also the second hit written by Holland Dozier Holland, reaching no.29 in the US charts (also top10 R&B).
It was released in the U.K. in 1963 shortly after it’s release in America. I bought it at the time and it has been part of my vast collection of Soul, R&B and Blues records since.
Both sides of the record play absolutely perfectly. Visibly, the record looks better than fine, with just a few minor superficial marks. Over 58 years it has been played and handled a few times but, as I have said, plays perfectly. I can hear no extraneous surface noise. There is no handwriting on the record and I have graded it as Excellent (Ex). [In the photos any apparent marks on the record are caused by the reflections of the surroundings and are not on the vinyl.]
The record is in it’s original sleeve, which has no tears. Over 58 years the sleeve has been handled quite a bit but is in remarkably good condition. The only handwriting on the sleeve is where I have written the catalogue no. (1819) in the top right hand corner. I have graded the sleeve as Very Good+.
The well packaged record will be despatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery, fully insured, at a subsidised cost of £5.
