Description
For sale is the rare and incredible private press of “Music Makers” Percussion double vinyl LP from Chevron, Standard Oil Company of California, 1974.
The legendary album that is on every beat digger’s list. This album not only features two great drum breaks, but contains excellent spoken word bits that pertain to sampling, including the famous section sampled by DJ Shadow for his gamechanging “Endtroducing” album. I can’t believe I haven’t heard the tabla drum parts of this record used on something. This record was released only to educational facilities to teach kids about the groups of instruments as a public service by Chevron Oil.
Check what’s on offer on this LP here (the music in this clip is the same as this album for sale, not from the actual record itself):-
