Yet another from a batch of great LPs in a wonderful collection which used to belong to a music journalist whose tastes were very wide and who looked after his collection very well indeed!
It is very seldom that this record comes up for sale, especially in this fabulous condition, so here's an opportunity to get one of the rarest LPs by one of THE great British jazz artists, featuring others of equal stature such as Stan Tracey, Don Rendell, Barbara Thompson, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Jon Hiseman, Dave Gelly and many others.
This is Neil Ardley's 1972 LP 'A Symphony of Amaranths' on Regal Zonophone stereo LP SLRZ 1028, the very FIRST PRESSING (1U/1U suffixes on the matrix numbers!)!
Textured sleeve is EX to EX minus, with the ghost of a sticker top left at the front, slight corner creasing bottom right and a little general storage wear. Structurally sound, though, and has stood the test of time very well.
The vinyl is in lovely EX plus condition, only a few extremely minor marks at the end of side 2 preventing it from being Near Mint; these don't affect superb audio. A fantastic copy!
