Description
Up for auction is a rare Northern Soul 45 and picture sleeve by Liz Verdi, "You Let Him Get Away b/w Think It Over (And Be Sure)" Columbia Records, 43154, 1964.
Looking at the picture of the singer on the sleeve, you would never guess how good she is! As far as I know she recorded only briefly. Her sister wrote both of the tracks.
The record and sleeve are both promotional.
The record is in mint minus condition. It laid on a shelf for 40 years and had to have some light dust cleaned off, but I see no marks or scratches on the playing surfaces, except for a few fine lines on the outer trailoff. Surfaces still have beautiful gloss. I played both sides and they sound great - no static or skips. Labels look perfect.
Picture sleeve is in very good condition. There are no seam splits. Left seam has some light wear. Other seams do not. There is some record wear on both sides. The front also has a stain near her chin. (Please see picture). I think this stain can be removed, or mostly removed, but I will leave that to the new owner. The back has some age spots.

NOTE ON PACKING: If a record has a picture sleeve, the record is shipped out of sleeve. I put record between bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard, and this has worked well. If you have a postal service that is particularly hard on packages, let me know. Since I ship worldwide, I realize that some packages might need a little extra padding.
