Description

Gene Thomas - Baby's Gone/ Stand By Love, United Artists UP1047 1963. This rare 45 was Thomas' only UK release and has a standard ballad on the a-side but the b is a quality mod northern soul dancer with great hammond beat backing, which has co writing credits to Bobby Goldsboro and Roy Orbison on both sides, and production from Orbison too. This is in top near mint condition and complete with the original United Artists company sleeve, but there is a light crackle on the ballad a-side for some reason, despite it being very clean. The b-side plays perfectly. I will be listing a fair few northern/ mod soul 45s so please check my other listings.
