Description
A Northern Soul rarity. The Fiestas on Old Town 1178. Stock copy. Kev Roberts mentions it in his book The Northern Soul Top 500-SE as one of those bubbling under the Top 500. The Essential Northern Soul Price Guide lists this record as a classic Northern Soul record. Condition: First, there is what amounts to a nearly invisible 1/2 inch crack in the middle of the track but it does not extend to the edge of the record or to the end of the song. I would estimate that it starts about 1/4 inch into the song and stops before you get halfway through the song. I missed it at first, but under a bright light and slightly bending very carefully you can see it. I am listing it for sale because of its rarity and popularity and that both sides play very well. I have included the whole song of Think Smart and most of Anna in audio clips below, what you hear is how they sounded through my turntable, no adjustments. This record is used and has quite of bit of light scuffing/scratches including one that goes all the way across the Think Smart side. You can see the ink mark on one label and light water staining on the other. Please take a couple of minutes and listen to some great music.
