Description

Nat King Cole –
LOVE IS THE THING –
Capitol W 824 Mono –
Gray Label Original

This 1957 original features the famous partnership of arranger Gordon Jenkins and singer Nat King Cole.

Fact is, Rolling Stone magazine called this album “the greatest smooch album of all time” for its sweet deliveries and smooth vocal treatments from Mr. Cole.

Great selections include IT’S ALL IN THE GAME, WHEN SUNNY GETS BLUE, LOVE IS THE THING, STARDUST, AT LAST, and WHEN I FALL IN LOVE, among others.

Cover is without major fault, simply has some browning of the back from age. Inside, is the original heavy gray-label platter, which has a cueing error upfront on both sides; otherwise, should play NM- to VG+.

Deemed by fans of Mr. Cole as one of his very finest albums ever released.

For other fine records, audiophile CDs, sealed LPs, and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
