Description
This is an authentic Vee-Jay edition of Introducing... The Beatles! The trail-off is under one inch wide and is etched "Audio Matrix," a sure sign of this record's authenticity. Also in the trail-off is etched "6 - 27 - 63." The letter A appears on both sides. These markings are nearly identical on both sides. The one exception is that an additional etching, " ", is the trail-off of side 2 only. This is an especially rare and early issue, as it has Love Me Do, and P.S. I Love You on it. These tracks were not featured on versions of the album printed after 1964, when Capitol Records filed a copyright lawsuit with Vee-Jay over the tracks. There is a sticker on one side of the disc label that has a previous owner's address on it. The address is lacking a zip code, which further identifies that this record was printed in 1963, as zip codes came into use shortly thereafter. The vinyl is plays perfectly on both sides with no pops, skips, warping, or hisses. There is no audible background noise during the cuts and almost dead silence between the tracks and lead in. There are a couple of visible light scratch lines that I checked with magnification and they are of no consequence. They do not make any sound during playback. I listened to both sides all the way through and and can honestly make the claim that this is a high quality recording in very fine condition. The cover is original to the disc and unfortunately bears the proud owners signature to prove it. It is otherwise in very good condition. No worn through edges and only light wear that can be seen in the photos. Included with this album is a 20 page Magical Mystery Tour insert, at no extra charge. It has zany full-color photographs.
