Description

LONG OUT OF PRINT ORIGINAL AUDIOPHILE! STAMPED NUMERIC PROMOTIONAL EDITION!!! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN "DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN" Original 1st pressing, CBS MasterSound Half-Mastered Extended Range Recording. Released 1982, Columbia (HC 45318).Includes 6-page fold-out promotional catalog and 4-page pictorial lyrics insert! Machine-stamped gold embossed promotional imprint on the back with the number 4023 above it.   This is superior followup to the monumental album that catapulted Bruce Springsteen from cult-favored Dylanesque singer-songwriter to a Herculean force of nature in the music industry, essentially redefining the music industry with a voice of conflict that was seeded and deeply rooted in his Catholic-Jewish upbringing. And his gift for channeling that tumultuous emotion only got stronger and more refined with each succeeding album.
The unrelenting rage of "Adam Raised A Cain" and intrepid dare of "Prove It All Night" are only two quintessential examples of the dark, looming internal forces of this amazing album.   This Half-Speed Mastered Audiophile pressing was Columbia Records' attempt to compete with the triumphant efforts of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL), and have remained highly collectible!   MINT- Vinyl!!! VERY STRONG EXCELLENT Cover!!! Only the slightest evidence of minor edge wear.   A real beauty!!!

And remember: When you buy from me, you are buying the VERY best!
