Description

Caretakers "East Side Story" & "Epic" - Rip'Off Records R-1001
Scarce original 7" 45 from 1968 in VG+ condition. Has marks and scuffs but plays excellent, loud and clear after some very light typical background noise in the lead in grooves. No pops or ticks. Original record store sticker on the A side.
Cool band from San Bernardino. Their take on Bob Seger & The Last Heard's "East Side Story" with great fuzz guitar, not too unlike Seger's original but a little more aggressive. Produced by Doug Brown, Seger's former bandmate in the Omens. The B side "Epic" starts with trippy echoey guitar and picks up tempo with some killer Hammond organ. Both great sides! The A side is featured on Pebbles Vol. 9 (Southern California Part 2), B side remains un-reissued. I'll be adding soundclips to this listing shortly.
