Description
For sale here is an original and extremely rare PROMO copy Pearl Jam's classic VITALOGY album, still in it's original shrink-wrap (*which is very clearly spitting open in the photos above). Despite the splitting wrap, I am the original owner of this record and I can verify that it is unopened and unplayed!!! As issued by Epic Records / Sony Music in 1994, you can see the small Sony "Promo Only" sticker (on the corner of the shrink wrap, applied at the factory).
This album found Pearl Jam making one of their rawest artistic statements in response to all the fame they'd found by 1994. Last Exit, STBC, Tremor Christ, Nothingman, Not For You, Whipping, Corduroy, Satan's Bed, Immortality ... some of their all-time greats. Might have been a tumultuous time for the band, but the creative spark was burning bright. The artwork is incredible, up there with No Code for it's attention to hand-made detail. The big 12" booklet really showcases the art that Vedder made by hand for this record, inspired by an old health text he'd found. This is a rare chance to own a new-old-stock copy of this classic album on vinyl... simply the best format to enjoy it. I was given a few copies of this record by Sony back in the day, and it's time to pass this copy on to someone who will cherish it.
