Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. CANADA - RAINBOW CAPITOL 6000 SERIES - T 6166 (MONO)
ATTENTION: Esterdamin Karen advised to re-list this rarity, for reason the eventual "winner" in last weeks auction, has backed out of the transaction. While eBay and sellers in general frown greatly on such tactics, the silver lining is that the item is up for grabs - one more chance. With loads of interest (watchers) and some 27 actual bidders in previous auction, the item is sure to catch the eye of those bidders who unfortunately missed as well as new bidders who might not have noticed the item first time around.

Very rare and highly sought YARDBIRDS LP RARITY!
The Original issue, 54 years of age !
This IS NOT a reproduction - rather THIS IS the 1965 "rainbow CAPITOL" 6000 series ORIGINAL with gloriously solid-punchy MONO SONG MIXES ...
1965 UNIQUE CANADIAN-ONLY PRESSING of the first North American released YARDBIRDS album ... The Canadian release sports a totally unique cover found nowhere else as well as a different track titled "STEEL BLUES" a much more -rave-up- classic sound over "Sweet Music" which this issue omits which was from the USA "For Your Love" LP in basically the same, but different, release.
Someone in Canada knew what they were doing....

HEARTFUL OF SOUL was the first North American YARDBIRDS album (and second album overall including England) by these storied British blues rockers, released in August 1965.
Not released in the U.K. as was a set of British Yardbirds singles. Although Eric Clapton is featured as the lead guitarist on eight of the tracks, it is Jeff Beck (who plays on the remaining three.) Eric Clapton is not mentioned on the cover but is known to play on some of the tracks before he abruptly left the band for John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.
This LP still stands as an enjoyable testimony to the British Invasion. Two of the singles were cool but didn't strike the AM radio crowd: mid-1964's "I Wish You Would/A Certain Girl" is crude blues-based pop-rock, and late 1964's "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" is a catchy rave-up with amusingly smutty lyrics. In early 1965, "For Your Love," with Brian Auger's inventive harpsichord line and the band's startling instrumental middle, was the biggest break from rock formulas yet produced by the British Invasion.

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: VG+(+) light wear small spot at top front, and some light age-toning on very bottom white border, otherwise pretty clean ... back cover is clean, some minor light wear spots in blank white area, bit of age-toning on very bottom white border. Basically hard to find LP in ANY condition because it was pressed only for the relatively small Canadian audience and is HIGHLY sought in Canada to this day. The past 54 years ago pressing is COMPLETELY different cover from USA release! Has no split seams, no delete marks, no bends, no writing.
The vinyl: Rated: VG has stray light hair-thin marks, the deep groove pressing plays way better, heard some light passive surface in a few spots but overall very enjoyable without groove wear from dreaded previous ceramic cartridge use which a popular cartridge hold-over from the 50's. The rainbow Capitol MONO label on side one is very clean, while side two has sticker removal wear at rainbow outer edge.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
