Description
This is a nice copy of the 1961 LP by THE CRICKETS, "IN STYLE WITH THE CRICKETS", their 1st as the BUDDY HOLLY-less combo. It is an original FIRST PRESSING (Matrix = A1/B1) on the CORAL label, cat# LVA 9142. The front cover is, as I hope you can see from the pics below, in a nice Exc+, maybe Near Mint condition. Unfortunately the original owner used sellotape to "repair" the flip-back rear cover (which it didn't really need!) and although this has been properly removed and the cover correctly glued back together, the sellotape has left some browning. This may well clean off with the use of lighter fluid (or similar) and patience: but it is there and so must be pointed out. That's really the only major flaw with this item. The labels are very attractive, clean and bright with the silver text nice and sharp. The vinyl is VERY near Mint, with only a few light "paper" marks doubtless due to removal/replacement to the inner sleeve. There is a little (but only a little) crackle here-and-there: this will doubtless "play out". All-in-all, a fine additon to anyone's collection and a good solid investment piece.
