Very rare Starday custom press by Roy Robinson on Big State # 539.
LITTLE ROMEO / I TOLD IT TO JESUS.
This is a crude bopper/rockabilly single from the great state of Texas, the record grades a strong VG, close to VG+. Has a VERY slight storage warp that doesen't affect the play at all. Plays thru with just minor scattered noise, no pops or skips, nothing serious, the music comes thru loud and clear. Play graded on a marantz 6300 W/new audio technia cartridge.
Labels have some wear and numbers written on them as you should be able to see in the pics.
This is the 2nd press from 1956 with steel guitar, bass, piano and fiddle. Runoff numbers are hand etched PD-539-A RE & PD-539-B RE. I think this record was issued twice in 56, first with just guitar & vocals, and then this one, hence the RE in the trailoff, this is not a 70's repro.
